Flash innovation for your pocket - Profoto A10
With the release of the Profoto C1 , the manufacturer has laid the foundation for professional cell phone flash photography. Now they are bringing these capabilities to the body of the popular A1 series, creating a hybrid for professional photography with the camera body and the cell phone. The Profoto A10 is therefore the one flash for all areas! We have put it under the microscope for you.

Profoto A10Connectivity
The Profoto A10 can be used with cameras from the following manufacturers: Canon, Nikon, Sony and Fujifilm. But that's not all: it can also be used in cell phone photography, making it the perfect little companion! All you need is an app. This is currently only available for IOS. An Android version is currently being worked on. Unfortunately, it is not yet clear if and when this will be released.
However, the app has made great leaps forward! Thanks to the new Air X technology, the app will also be expanded on 23.09. After the update, it will also be possible to control and use existing Profoto B10 and B10 Plus . So for the first time it will be possible to use fully-fledged Xenon flashes for photos with a cell phone. This gives you the opportunity to use your existing flashes. The Profoto A10 is not only an on-camera flash system, but also an independent off-camera flash. As usual, it can be triggered via AirTTL.
Design
The design of the Profoto A10 is similar to that of the A1X. A round flash head for softer light fall-off, swiveling and tilting head, large battery in the front and a clear, large display. If you already have accessories from the Clic system, you can also use them on the new flash! Accessories such as domes, grids or gels snap into place magnetically and can be removed quickly and easily. Another great feature at this point is the round head with an LED modeling light, which is infinitely dimmable to better assess the light throw without having to take many test shots.
Profoto A10Power
The Profoto A10, like its brother the A1X, is the top companion for wedding and reportage photographers. The flash only needs 1s recycling time between 2 triggers at full level to continue flashing constantly with brightness and color temperature. This makes mass processing afterwards effortless and eliminates the need for individual touch-ups. With one battery charge you can also manage up to 450 flashes at full power. A real power flash in a compact design!
