Popular among Fujifilm's lenses for the X-series system cameras are the weather-sealed lenses marked with the abbreviation WR. With them, photographs can be taken on a suitable camera body even in extreme sub-zero temperatures or in the rain. System camera lenses marked with the abbreviation OIS have an image stabilizer that can correct the exposure by up to five stops. This means that handheld shots in low light are no longer a problem. Matching with the X-series system cameras, Fujifilm has tried to make its lenses as compact as possible. Nevertheless, Fujifilm has refused using plastic housings and relies exclusively on robust metal, which considerably improves the feel and robustness.
