Tips for better photos with the smartphone
If you take a lot of photos with your phone, you might find the following tips particularly interesting:
- Use grid view to better observe the rule of thirds to create interesting images
- Use negative space to your advantage. Open spaces make the picture look calmer and the object in focus slides further into the viewer's focus
- Use unusual perspectives
- Use puddles and other reflections / specular reflections. They make the picture more interesting and give creative space for the viewer
- Pay attention to symmetry, because symmetry is pure harmony for the human eye, nothing is more pleasing to our eye than symmetry!
- Use color accents! Stand out in a color in a monochrome background: for example, a flower in front of a gray concrete wall. The classic colorkey is no longer really modern, but has also lost its impact, as it was used extensively by many photographers in the past
- Interesting patterns and structures - By this we mean repeating elements, geometric shapes and objects, but also colors
- Use the different lenses of your camera, but not necessarily beyond that. Many modern smartphones have more than one lens. - Clean your phone camera regularly, because you always put your phone in your pants, it can happen that you get your fingers on the lens of your camera and it gets a grease spot
