Billingham launches the "Eventer MKII"
The latest camera bag in the renowned photo range
The British-made "Eventer MKII" is perfect for carrying and protecting mirrorless system cameras, rangefinders and medium sized DSLRs. The bag includes an SP50 shoulder pad and a removable padded insert with a sewn-in 14 inch laptop compartment.

The bag is an improved version of the previous "Eventer" and has several additional features designed to support photographers and frequent travelers alike. The "Eventer MKII" is highly weatherproof, comfortable to carry and easy to transport, while retaining the durability and timeless classic aesthetic of the "Eventer".

The "Eventer MKII" was developed in response to feedback from customers who wanted the "Eventer" to be enhanced with popular features found in some of the Hadley range of bags and the recently released Mini Eventer. The former "Eventer" has since been discontinued.

The most immediately visible feature that has changed is the top handle. The webbing that stretched across the width of the top flap has been removed to make room for a simpler, slimmer handle. Leather has been added to the underside of the handle to make the bag more comfortable to carry.

To improve the bag's suitability as an outdoor work bag, the previous normal zippers on the main compartment and back pocket have been replaced with weatherproof zippers to protect the contents from the elements. A clever "TukTop" design allows the main compartment zippers to be hidden behind the walls of the padded insert so they are out of the way when packing and unpacking cameras.

The removable insert has additional padding at the bottom to further increase the protection of your camera gear. The padded laptop compartment on the back of the insert has been retained so that a 14-inch laptop can be accommodated. The insert can be easily removed with press studs, transforming the bag from a functional camera bag to a stylish messenger bag in seconds.

A trolley strap has been added to the back of the bag, making it easy and convenient to attach the bag to your suitcase when traveling through busy cities or airports.

Similar to the previous model, the lower third of the bag features grained leather inserts on all sides for protection, durability and style.

All Billingham products are manufactured in England and are made from a choice of canvas or FibreNyte materials bonded with a rubber butyl layer known as a 'Stormblock'. This layer is the reason why you will never have to waterproof your Billingham bag again, because the "Stormblock" layer will keep your bag waterproof for a lifetime. An additional invisible, slightly water-repellent coating on the surface of the fabric helps to reduce stains and maintain the aesthetics of the bag. While the effectiveness of this coating wears off over time, the waterproofness of the butyl storm block layer remains.
