Product description for Irix 150mm f/2.8 Macro 1:1 Dragonfly Pentax K full frame

With a focal length of 150 mm and a scale of 1: 1, these are the basic features of the new lens that enable comfortable work with small Lens. Thanks to the ability to move away from the photographed object, operation is more comfortable than with lenses with a shorter focal length. No shadows are cast on the subject and lamps intended for this type of photography can also be used.

Its fast f/2.8 aperture enables shorter exposure times, while the moderately long focal length of 150 mm is an excellent compromise between the narrow angle of view required for macro, advertising and portrait photography and the convenience of hand-held photography.

The Lens is equipped with an aperture mechanism consisting of eleven aperture blades with a rounded shape, which allow a pleasant blurring of the background or points of light and ensure excellent sharpness even after stopping down the aperture.

The focus ring has been equipped with a wide rubber grip with special convexity compression. For precise focusing of the balance with 270 degree rotation. The entire design is complemented by a functional Focus Lock ring, which allows you to fix the focus ring in a suitable position.

The Irix 150 mm f/2.8 Macro 1:1 lens has been sealed at key points (the front element, the Focus Lock ring, the focusing ring and the bayonet) and is therefore suitable for use in adverse weather conditions such as fog and rain or snow.

The optical design consists of twelve elements - three of which are made of extremely low dispersion (ED) glass, four others of glass with a higher refractive index (HR) and the entire glass is arranged in nine optical groups. Thanks to this construction, we achieve a distortion close to zero (at a value of 0.1%).

The Irix 150 mm 1: 1 lens is equipped with an internal focusing system (IF), so the lens does not change its dimensions when focusing, maintaining a compact size and better sealing.

Dhe 1: 1 lens of Irix 150 mm f/1 is the first model available in the new Dragonfly finish version, in which the aluminum frame is enclosed in an outer structure of aluminum-magnesium alloys and composite elements. The combination of Firefly and Blackstone features gives the lens lightness and robustness, while offering high mechanical strength and resistance in difficult weather conditions.

The Lens has a CPU that allows the aperture to be controlled from the camera and the AE module enables the use of semi-automatic modes (PASM). This solution allows the user to receive confirmation of focus from the camera. An additional advantage is the recording of exposure data in EXIT format.
