The S-VPR1-ACC remote release cable connects a PocketWizard radio to the Sony multi/micro USB port, enabling remote camera release. Please refer to the important note below for compatibility with your PocketWizard.
With a remote camera, you can unleash your creativity and extend your photographic reach in a unique way. On location, a remote camera allows you to reach places that would otherwise be closed to you. Take pictures that no one else can take by triggering the camera at the same time as your main camera. Two pictures, two perspectives, one photographer! In the studio you can leave the camera and feel very close to your subjects.
Instructions:
Connect the S-VPR1-ACC remote camera cable to the remote port of your camera and a receiving PocketWizard radio. Trigger your remote camera by either pressing the test button on a portable PocketWizard or by triggering the remote camera directly from the shutter button on your handheld camera. Attach the sending PocketWizard to the hot shoe of your handheld camera or connect it to the camera's PC port
Important note: If you are using a remote shutter release camera from a Sony hand-held camera with PocketWizard in the hot shoe, especially when using the electronic shutter, you will need the special S-VPR1-ACC cable for the hand-held camera. For the remote trigger camera, you can use either another S-VPR1-ACC cable, the 13377-S or the 13369-S.
PlusX/PlusXe users: If you trigger from a hand-held camera to a remote camera, you need the S-VPR1-ACC cable for the hand-held camera, but the 13377-S cable for the remote camera. The S-VPR1-ACC cable can block the remote PlusX camera when it switches to sleep mode.

NOTE: Compatibility cannot be guaranteed for PlusX/PlusXe, older Plus, Plus II and MultiMAX radios with Sync connector above, FlexTT5 and FlexTT6 radios. You may need an MSMM adapter, a PTMM adapter or the 13377-S remote camera cable. If the camera switches to standby mode, the remote radio may hang up. You can set the camera's standby timer to remain active for up to 30 minutes on most cameras.

Half-press/ pre-release options for the remote control camera:
Activating the half-press function on the remote control will pre-release the remote control camera. If this function is activated, the remote shutter release camera behaves as if you half-press the shutter release button directly on the camera. In the pre-released state, the remote shutter release camera focuses and confirms the exposure, but does not release the shutter. The advantage of the half-press function is that your camera reacts more quickly to the actual shutter release signal, as it is ready to take pictures immediately after receiving the signal. The half-press function is available as an option with some PocketWizard remote controls. With a PTMM cable, the continuous half-press function is available on all PocketWizard remote controls. See below for more information.
Plus III/Plus IIIe : Using a handheld radio: Press the test button on the handheld radio halfway to activate the camera's remote release, then press it fully to take the photo. When shooting with a handheld camera with the handheld radio mounted on the hot shoe, use a remote release cable that connects both the sending and receiving PocketWizard radios to activate the camera's remote release. When you half-press the camera's shutter button in your hand, the Plus III handheld radio should trigger the camera's remote shutter at the same time.
Plus IV/Plus IVe : The Plus IV can receive a half-press signal from a transmitting Plus III, but cannot transmit one. See above for details on how the half-push signal works.
MultiMAX: You can pre-activate a remote camera using the MultiMAX radios by activating or deactivating its zones from a transmitting MultiMAX, Plus III or Plus IV device. This feature is available when using the lower ACC port of a MultiMAX radio. It is not available with older MultiMAX radios that only have an upper port.
The PTMM adapter can be integrated into any setup to enable continuous pre-solving. It is connected to the cable of the remote trigger camera and has a housing with a switch. When switched on ("Activated"), the camera is permanently pre-released. When switched off, the camera only triggers after the focus and exposure have been confirmed. The camera then reacts much faster, but consumes more battery power.
FlexTT5, FlexTT6, PlusX/PlusXe, Plus II, Plus Receiver, MultiMAX without -ACC connections: Half-push / pre-release is only possible with these devices by adding the PTMM adapter.
