As a result, the SIGMA 28-45mm F1.8 DG DN | Art can compete with fixed focal lengths in terms of sharpness and brilliance. Thanks to advanced lens coatings, the lens produces clear images without flares and ghosting, even in backlighting, while the optical design effectively suppresses focus breathing. This provides filmmakers and photographers with a tool with high expressive power.

Super Multi-Layer Coating
An ideal lens directs the incident light through all lenses to the sensor. If, on the other hand, some of the light is reflected by individual lenses, not only is the light yield reduced; the reflections within the lens create ghost images and flare spots or reduce the contrast. Such effects would be particularly noticeable in backlit shots.

In addition to a Super Multi-Layer Coating (SML), which reduces stray light and ghost images, SIGMA's own Nano Porous Coating (NPC) technology is therefore used.
A thin layer of silicon dioxide is applied to the lenses, in which nanometer-fine pores allow the light to enter the glass almost completely without scattering it. In this way, reflections are reduced even further than would be possible with conventional multi-coatings alone.
The result is clear, sharp and high-contrast images without annoying lens flares.

For mirrorless full-frame cameras
The SIGMA 28-45mm F1.8 DG DN | Art is compatible with mirrorless full-frame cameras with L-mount or Sony E-mount.

An HLA drive (High-Response Linear Actuator) is used for fast focusing, which the Lens controls using a newly developed algorithm to achieve high acceleration with very smooth running. The autofocus with automatic eye detection used in mirrorless cameras is also supported, making the precise focusing of portraits child's play.

Eine Legende neu aufgelegt - Flexibel und eine tolle Lichtstärke
Mein erstes Objektiv war damals das Sigma Art 18-35mm f1,8 für die Nikon D3100: Hier ist es so, dass die Linse jetzt quasi für das spiegellose Vollformat neu entwickelt wurde. Mit 28-45mm bildet es für mich eine perfekte Schnittmenge für Events und vor allem für die Videografie. Die Linse wiegt halt einiges und der Preis ist natürlich nicht gerade ohne, doch kann sie an sich einige Festbrennweiten ersetzen, gerade jene die sonst nicht die Schärfe des Kamerasensors auslasten können.
