Abstract with humor: food photography with a difference | Leah Bethmann for Nikon

Live shooting contribution as part of our photo days

Leah Bethmann

This live workshop is about more than simply depicting food and products, but rather about the question of how to tell the special stories behind the everyday - with a touch of humor.

More about Leah Bethmann:

Leah Bethmann lives and works as a conceptual and commercial photographer in Düsseldorf. Her photographic work is driven by a passion for discovering the beautiful and the strange, asking questions, telling stories and combining technical expertise with playful and thoughtful curiosity.
Growing up in a small village in Lower Saxony, Leah became passionate about good food, beautiful objects and documenting aesthetically at an early age. Following her passion, she moved to Düsseldorf straight after leaving school at the age of seventeen. She then trained as a photographer, working in Berlin, Hamburg and Cape Town.
Today, Leah creates visual ideas for web and print appearances, cookbooks and campaigns and sets them in light and scene in her studio. Always in search of cake and enlightenment.
Since 2022, Leah has headed the NRW region of the Female Photoclub and is committed to improving the visibility of female photographers. Since 2024 she has been a board member of the Female Photoclub e.V.
