New top model: Fujifilm X-T4

Reading time: 2 minutes - February 26, 2020 - by Daniel Krug - Update 04.23

In 2020, Fujifilm is once again launching a new flagship camera on the market with a number of innovations that many Fujifilm fans have certainly been waiting for. This makes the new Fujifilm XT-4 the most powerful camera in the X series and offers professional features in the photo and video area. The XT-4 now features a 26.1 megapixel X-Trans? CMOS sensor with backside exposure.

Autofocus & frames per second

In terms of speed, the new camera achieves a full 15 shots per second, with the electronic shutter even making 30 frames per second possible. The improved autofocus is also helpful for fast and action-packed applications. The speed of the improved phase detection is described as just 0.02 seconds. The precision of the new autofocus is also significantly more reliable.

Update

The XT-4 has received a successor, the Fujifilm XT-5 was released at the end of 2022. You can find our product presentation and the corresponding product in our blog. Also check our Second Hand section to see if we currently have a used X-T4 in stock.

Image stabilization & battery life

Five-axis image stabilization has also found its way into the new Body. In combination with the corresponding XF/XC Lens, shake-free shutter speeds of up to 6.5 stops can be achieved.
With the new NP-W235 battery, which has around 1.5 times the capacity of its predecessor, it is now possible to take around 500 pictures. If you switch on the new economy mode, you can even take 600 shots on a single battery charge.

Video performance of the X-T4

In the video area, impressive slow-motion recordings with up to 240 frames/s in Full HD are possible. In 4K, 60 fps are achieved. For blur-free shots, the IBIS system works together with electronic image stabilization to create steady hand-held video recordings.
The new swivel and foldable display is a real help for particularly creative work. Unusual perspectives are no longer a problem for photographers or videographers.
