The EOS R7's Dual Pixel CMOS AF II focus system covers nearly 100% of the frame, providing fast, accurate autofocus even in low-light environments down to -5 EV2 or at apertures as low as F22.

Imagine shooting long exposure photos handheld and being able to capture moving subjects with motion blur without using a tripod. Or shooting steady video while walking with the camera. The EOS R7's in-camera image stabilizer (IBIS) opens up new creative possibilities and could make you rethink the way you use your camera system.

Shoot smoothly - even when things get wild
The camera's IBIS works in tandem with the Optical IS that many of our RF Lenses are equipped with. Thanks to the RF bayonet's tremendous communication speed and large diameter, it can compensate for up to 7 stops of exposure with the RF-S 18-150mm F3.5-6.3 IS STM and up to 8 stops of exposure with other RF Lenses. Stabilization is provided via 5 axes, allowing for handheld blur-free shooting even at long exposures. And if you're using a Lens without optical IS (such as a fast fixed focal length), the EOS R7's IBIS still provides highly effective blur protection through the EOS R System's wide bayonet.

Quiet videos
When shooting video, IBIS and optical IS are complemented by a third technology: Movie Digital IS. Together, these systems compensate for camera shake to the point where you might think the footage was shot with a gimbal.

In no time... Speed and performance you'll love
The perfect moment for a photo can sometimes take just fractions of a second. That's why we designed the EOS R7 to be exceptionally fast. Shoot RAW, JPEG and HEIF bracketing at up to 15fps - or up to 30fps with the camera's electronic shutter. All of this is done with full AE and AF tracking. With an electronic shutter speed of 1/16,000 sec, details that often escape the naked eye become visible.

Built to respond quickly
The camera's DIGIC X processor provides fast, agile handling and virtually eliminates viewfinder lag for a truly responsive shooting experience. Up to 42 RAW files and 126 JPEGs can be captured in a single burst at 30 fps.

Smooth motion, perfectly captured on video
Frame rates up to 60p in 4K and up to 120p in Full HD footage are possible for video capture. Capture moving objects with incredible precision and create smooth slow-motion effects in post-production.

Electronic viewfinder
The great 2.36 million-dot electronic viewfinder with 120fps10 refresh rate features an OVF simulation mode to ease the transition from a DSLR camera.

Rotating and swiveling LCD display
The rotating and swiveling display makes it easy to shoot from unusual angles. Portrait video recording is also supported, so you can easily record your stories for social media.

Combined AF Area Selection
New design features include a combination AF area selection and mode dial on the back of the camera.

The APS-C Advantage
The EOS R7 is equipped with an APS-C sensor. That offers more "telephoto range" with your Lens than the same focal length on a full frame camera. The smaller sensor also makes the EOS R7 more portable - ideal for shooting wildlife, aerial shows or action shots from the sidelines.

Integrate and expand
Speaking of lenses, you can connect all your existing EF and EF-S lenses to the EOS R7 via a choice of Canon adapters, where they'll work just as they always have - if not better, because the EOS R system offers much greater functionality. You can configure the EOS R7 to suit the way you work. Customizable dials and buttons complement custom shooting modes and the programmable My Menu.

Take communication to a new level - share, send, stream and process
The EOS R7 is a well-connected camera that works hand-in-hand with your smartphone, tablet or computer via the Canon Camera Connect app. A Bluetooth Low Energy connection keeps it paired to a mobile device so you can browse images and videos, and transfer and share them in full or reduced size over Wi-Fi - wherever you're shooting. The EOS R7 is made for the iPhone. You can connect the camera to it with a high-speed USB-C cable. Inform your followers on social media about interesting events or send pictures directly to a client when you're on the road for work. The EOS R7 even lets you live stream videos to YouTube.

Built-in Wi-Fi allows easy and independent connection to the image.canon online gateway for seamless direct transfer of images and video clips to cloud storage for later review. Transfer all images so they're waiting for you at home, or rate, select, and transfer only the images you like.

Use your EOS R with the wide world of EF and EF-S lenses
EF-EOS R lens adapter
The standard EF-EOS R lens adapter enables the seamless use of EF-S and EF lenses with cameras of the EOS R system. So if you already have EF-S or EF lenses, you can easily invest in the EOS R system and know that the lenses you already have can be used with the usual performance.

Mount your existing EF lenses to your new EOS R system camera with this special bayonet adapter. They retain the same performance and functionality as with an EOS DSLR. You can use your existing EF lenses to explore the new EOS R system. The Canon EOS R adapters are protected against dust and splash water, making them ideal for use in the field.
