The Nikon Z are the all-rounders among full-frame cameras

The Nikon Z series is the first Nikon mirrorless camera system with an extra large bayonet (55 mm) and a full-frame sensor. With a higher amount of light, these offer more detail, depth and color. With several hundred autofocus points, the Z series cameras maintain sharpness to the corners of the image and support your imagination in image composition in the best way. Regardless of the lens, Nikon Z series cameras compensate for camera shake in 5 directions. This is made possible by a 5-axis image stabilizer (VR) integrated into the camera. As a result, photos always remain sharp and movies continue to run stably. The special feature of the Z bayonet is a larger diameter than most other popular full-frame systems. The larger diameter allows a higher amount of light to pass through toward the sensor. It is a rear-exposed CMOS full-frame sensor, which enables autofocus with phase detection in the sensor plane and thus razor-sharp images in any light. The autofocus system detects motion instantly. Even with tiny and fast movements, the focus is tracked with the highest precision. However, when dealing with static subjects, the focus can be set to the smallest details using the "needle point metering field". The Intelligent Autofocus Processor with Face Detection detects faces and keeps them in focus, even if a person turns their face away at that moment. The associated Nikon Z lenses are, like the camera's body, lightweight, compact and yet fast. With the FTZ bayonet adapter, you can still use Nikkor F lenses on many Nikon Z series cameras. A high megapixel count allows large format prints to be produced without sacrificing image quality. Another highlight of the Nikon Z system cameras are fast continuous shooting, high ISO sensitivities and 4K recording.

Always precise and razor-sharp movie shots

You can set the focusing speed and sensitivity for AF tracking specifically for movie shooting. The design of Nikon Z lenses reduces annoying "focus breathing" and focus shift when zooming. The camera's Active D-Lighting function perfectly balances light and shadow. This is especially important for high-contrast subjects and is great for movies that need to be finished immediately.

The Z Series connects quickly with other devices

With built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth capability, you're guaranteed to get a quick connection to a SnapBridge-enabled smart device. You can quickly share JPEGs and conveniently shoot photos and movies remotely. In "Station" or "Base Station" mode, you can transfer JPEG and RAW images without cables. An optional WLAN adapter allows you to transfer data via network. The Nikon Z series full-frame mirrorless cameras can be classified as all-rounders, but they are particularly suitable for portraits, landscapes, architecture or sports shots.
