The Lumix G series from Panasonic: compact system cameras with lots of extras

In 2008, Panasonic presented the first LUMIX G interchangeable lens camera to the public. The resulting model series of mirrorless interchangeable lens cameras has proven to be a success story. The elimination of the mirror and the use of a Micro Four Third chip allow a handy and lightweight design. The stylish Lumix cameras with electronic viewfinder or display are ergonomically comfortable to hold and surprise with exceptional image quality in both photo and video mode for the format. Panasonic also offers a wide range of different lenses for the Micro Four Thirds bayonet, from ultra-wide-angle to telephoto, which offer excellent optical quality despite their compact design. A stereo lens with double lens for 3D shots is also included. Thanks to the universal connection, other lenses with micro Lens with Micro-Four-Thirds can also be used.

With their first-class price-performance ratio, Panasonic cameras are not only a hit with photographers, but also with ambitious filmmakers thanks to their video functions. It goes without saying that the newer Lumix top models have a high-resolution 4K video mode. Panasonic has designed the Lumix G series with electronic viewfinder for beginners. The GF series offers compact models without a built-in viewfinder. Semi-professional requirements are met by the GH series, which comes with an electronic viewfinder and high-resolution video function. The GX series combines the look of a rangefinder camera with a high-resolution image sensor and functions such as an image stabilizer. The Lumix F series offers a compact communicator with selfie function and wifi connection to a smartphone or tablet at the touch of a button.
