Nikon Nikkor Z 20mm f/1.8 S ultra-wide-angle lens for detailed subjects with depth

With the 20mm ultra-wide-angle lens, you can conjure up breathtaking shots of particularly large sections of the image, with razor-sharp definition right down to the last corner. It is also ideal for creating expressive relationships between the foreground and background of the image. For example, it can be used to embed details of the front image plane in a wide-angle context that represents the rear image plane. In contrast to the usual wide-angle lens, the ultra-wide-angle lens has a much wider field of view of at least 90°, which is why it is particularly popular for landscape photography or for taking pictures of architectural objects.

Thanks to the great speed of 1:1.8 in combination with the ample diameter of the Z bayonet and the nine rounded blades of the aperture, high-quality shots can be achieved even in adverse lighting conditions. With state-of-the-art optics and elaborate weather sealing, this 20mm lens for full-frame mirrorless cameras is prepared for all shooting situations. The Lens is ultra-sharp to the corners of the image and brilliant in low light. As a result, it captures all the details of a subject with exceptional clarity.

Detailed landscapes. Fascinating night shots. Thanks to the outstanding imaging performance of this Lens, stars are rendered as fine rounded points even at open aperture. Sharpness is incredible, even in close-ups. And aperture spotting is effectively counteracted even when backlit.

The large diameter of the Z bayonet, f/1.8 speed, and nine-rounded-blade aperture ensure mesmerizing performance in all lighting conditions. You can capture exquisite star effects and enjoy extremely natural-looking bokeh, smoothly graduated to the corners of the image.

Sharpness is fantastic - and especially outstanding at close range. With a closest focusing distance of just 0.2m, you have full control over framing - from close-up to infinity.

ED glass lenses and aspherical lenses help effectively correct chromatic aberration and other aberrations. In addition, Nikon's Nano Crystal Coat counteracts ghosting and flare. You'll capture much more detail in every shot.
