The NIKKOR Z 28 mm f/2.8 Special Edition is a compact and lightweight lens.
With its bokeh unique among fixed focal length lenses, it is ideal for portraits and still lifes. The Lens features a traditional design inspired by classic NIKKOR lenses from the FM2 era. The NIKKOR Z 28mm f/2.8 Special Edition features the classic surface finish of the Nikon Z fc for a perfectly matched aesthetic.

Designed as a special edition for the Z fc DX-format mirrorless camera, this Z-series Lens combines state-of-the-art optical technology with a classic look and feel. With the Z fc, it gives a focal length equivalent of 42mm in DX format - ideal for natural portraits and vibrant vlogs. And on a Nikon Z full-frame camera, a wide-angle 28 mm focal length is available.

DESIGN DETAILS FROM PAST TIMES
The fonts used for the Lens name match those used for AI Nikkor lenses. The texture of the adjustment rings has been modeled on the feel of Nikon SLR lenses.

RAFFINED BOKEH
The large diameter of the Z bayonet, the f/2.8 aperture, and the aperture with seven rounded blades ensure perfectly matched, silky smooth bokeh.
It has never been easier to capture razor-sharp subjects against a beautifully blurred background.

LARGE FOCUS
Thanks to a closest focusing distance of just 19 cm, you can get really close to your subject.

FASTER, QUIET AUTO FOCUS
The ultra-quiet stepper motor and fascinating light output of the Z bayonet ensure fast, precise and quiet focusing.

MADE FOR FILM
Film footage isn't ruined by noise generated during focusing. "Focus breathing" has been significantly reduced so that the angle of view remains constant when focusing.

ADJUSTABLE
The quiet adjustment ring can be configured to control focus, aperture, exposure compensation, or ISO.

HANDLE AND IMPACTABLE
This Lens is sealed against dust and splashing water1 while remaining extremely unobtrusive. It is so small that it can remain on the camera at all times or can be stowed in a jacket pocket.
