OLYMPUS' M.ZUIKO PRO Lenses are designed and manufactured to the highest standards. They combine maximum optical performance with the compact, lightweight design of the Micro Four Thirds standard. M.ZUIKO PRO Lenses are also dustproof, splashproof and freezeproof. A quick comparison with SLR lenses sums up the benefits of the new PRO lens. Owners of the M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 300 mm f/4.0 IS PRO will benefit from the world's first IS Sync mechanism, which is perfectly matched to the 5-axis image stabilization system of the OM-D E-M1 and E-M5 Mark II. This results in compensation increased to 6 EV steps - and leads to a significant reduction in blur when shooting video or shooting without a tripod.

The focus clutch allows photographers to switch between pre-set focus settings and super-fast, high-precision AF. There are three switches on the top of the Lens that can be operated without taking your eyes off the viewfinder and with just one finger. On the left side, the L-Fn button can be assigned one of 27 assignable functions. Next to it is the on/off switch for the Lens image stabilizer (when using a tripod). The third button changes the focusing range. The potential for close-up photography is also absolutely exceptional, with a magnification of 1:0.48 and a distance of just 1.4 meters between the subject and the camera.
