The PL-E90D is specially designed for portable lighting applications. 480 pieces of SMD LEDs are mounted in the inner edge of the light frame, and with the unique SWIT 90° light guide technology, the PL-E90D provides bright, soft and evenly distributed light while the light body is slim enough and portable, making it an ideal light source for interview kits, field video productions and broadcast studios.
Laser dot 90° light guide
High efficiency and super bright
Conventional edge-mounted LED lights are not very bright as half of the light falls on the back. Even if there is a reflective plate, a lot of light is still lost.
SWIT's innovative technology is to place laser dots with calculated spacing on the reflective glass so that the different angles of edge light converge on the laser dots and are emitted 90° to the front with minimal light loss. The slim light mounted on the edge can then also have a high brightness.
2200 lux at a distance of 1 meter
0-100% flicker-free dimming
The PL-E90D has an output of 90W and delivers a luminance of 2200Lux at 1 meter distance (center), much brighter than other LED panels of similar size. The effective beam angle reaches 70°, limited by 50% tilt. The PL-E90D also supports digital dimming from 0 to 100% with PWM, which works smoothly and flicker-free.
Two-color temperature
2700K-6500K continuously adjustable
The PL-E90D is alternately equipped with 2700K and 6500K LEDs, and the color temperature can be continuously adjusted between 2700K and 6500K.
High color rendering ability
CRI Ra 98; TLCI 99
CRI (Color Rendering Index) is a measure of the ability of a light source to faithfully reproduce the colors of different objects compared to a natural light source. And the TLCI (Television Lighting Consistency Index) is a special measure of the color rendering ability of the camera sensor. The maximum value is 100. The normal LED light has 80-85 CRI or TLCI, whereas the PL-E90D has an extremely high CRI value of 98 and a TLCI value of 99 and does not lose the original colors of the object.
LCD display
Dimming function / color / DMX channel, battery information
On the rear LCD screen, the current dimming percentage, color temperature value, DMX channel and CH channel as well as the remaining battery charge can be displayed.
Quick setting mode
By pressing the adjustment button
The PL-E90D supports quick adjustment of brightness and color temperature:
Press the dimmer button, it switches from a 1% level to a 10% level, for quick brightness adjustment;
Press the color temperature button, the device switches from 50K gradually to the following commonly used color temperatures: 2700K / 3200K / 4500K / 5600K / 6500K.
DMX512 control
Dimmer and color temperature
The PL-E90D has a standard 5-pin DMX input and output, supports the DMX512 protocol and can control dimmer and color temperature via a DMX controller.
The dimmer and color temperature each occupy 1 DMX address.
Press and hold the dimmer button for 2 seconds to set the DMX address, which ranges from 001 to 512.
Interaction control mode
Control the luminaires with each other without a DMX console
Press and hold the color temperature setting button for 2 seconds to switch to "CH" mode. In this mode, you can connect all luminaires with DMX cables and operate any one luminaire. All other luminaires with the same CH addresses can be controlled together.
Press and hold the dimmer button for 2 seconds to set the CH address, which ranges from 001 to 512.
Input voltage from 11-36V
Via V-mount/gold-mount battery or 4-pin XLR
The PL-E90D supports an input voltage of 11-36V, has a 4-pin XLR DC socket and is equipped with a V-mount or gold-mount plate for battery power supply. The standard battery plate is V-Mount.
Hinged door / honeycomb
Optionally available, easy to mount
The PL-E90D has an all-metal housing and has a 4-leaf metal door and a 40° metal honeycomb as accessories, which are easy to mount.
Leaf door (model # LA-HE90) and honeycomb (model # LA-GE90) are optionally available.
