International Carry-On Compatible and Travel Friendly Design
Designed to be the perfect travel companion, the Explore V2 30 waterproof camera backpack meets the strictest EU and Asian carry-on regulations and even fits under some airplane seats. It also features a pass-through luggage handle, lockable zippers, a base handle for easy two-handed carrying, a hidden passport pocket and a quick-access document/book sleeve.
Multiple access points
The backpack offers access points on the back and side. The side opening is ideal for quick access under the arm without having to remove the backpack completely, and the theft-proof rear opening allows wide, unobstructed access to most gear in less time-sensitive shooting situations.
Adjustable Torso Height
3 height options with a vertical adjustment range of approximately 7.5 cm allow the same backpack to fit small or large - male or female - upper body sizes, ensuring a custom fit for everyone.
Modular Camera Insertion System Core Unit
Core Units provide shockproof protection for mirrorless, SLR and DSLR cameras and Lenses, ensuring users never carry more padding and weight than necessary. Users can expand their layout options with two or more Core Units by stacking and moving them as they are placed in the backpack. Core Units are available separately from the backpack, allowing users to choose the size that best suits their needs.

Description Medium Mirrorless Core Unit V2:
The Medium Mirrorless Core Unit V2 integrates seamlessly with the side access of the Action X30 and X50 backpacks, but also fits into any available Shimoda backpack and roller.
It includes all the popular features of the Shimoda Core Unit system, including EVA-laminated dividers and sidewalls, a lightweight and versatile removable sleeve, and an aluminum frame for added rigidity and support.
Mirrorless depth is ideal for mirrorless and gripless DSLR cameras up to 12 inches tall and Lenses up to 70-200mm 2.8.
Fits mirrorless/DSLR bodies
The size of the backpack is suitable for professional mirrorless or mid-sized DSLR cameras. The shallower depth allows for more efficient packing scenarios and results in a lower profile for your backpack. The mirrorless size is ideal for cameras like the Sony a7 series, but can also accommodate the similar dimensions of the Canon 5D.
Quick side access to the camera
Features built-in side access. Shimoda's new design gives you full access to the back and side access at the same time. The side flap connects seamlessly with the side flap of the Action X backpack.
Lightweight Water Resistant and Versatile Sleeve
The included sleeve is primarily a storage option for the padded Core Units, ideal for when your gear is at home and not in use. It keeps the Core Unit sealed and dust-free. Its secondary function is to be used as a packing cell. Users can fill it with clothing or other common items and pack it in their backpack or carry-on roll.
EVA Protective Cover and Dividers
The walls and dividers are made of EVA, which provides much better protection than the cheaper PE foams used in most camera bags. With EVA, Shimoda has better control over the density and quality of the materials used to protect your gear. This also means that Shimoda's walls can be thinner and require less internal volume, while still providing excellent protection.
