U.S. and International Carry-On compatible with travel-friendly design
Designed to be the perfect travel companion, the Explore V2 35 waterproof camera backpack complies with U.S. and some international carry-on regulations. It also features a full-length luggage handle, lockable zippers, a base handle for easy two-handed carrying, a hidden passport pocket and a quick-access document/book sleeve.
Multiple access points
The backpack offers access points on the back and on the side. The side opening is ideal for quick access under the arm without having to remove the backpack completely, and the theft-proof rear opening allows wide, unobstructed access to the majority of equipment in less time-critical shooting situations.
Adjustable torso height
3 height options with a vertical adjustability of approx. 7.5 cm allow the same backpack to be adapted to small or large - male or female - torso sizes, ensuring a customized fit for everyone.
Modular Camera Insert System (Core Unit)
The Core Units provide shockproof protection for mirrorless, SLR and DSLR cameras and Lens, ensuring that the user never carries more padding and weight than necessary. Users can expand their layout options with two or more Core Units by stacking and moving them as they are placed in the backpack. The Core Units are available separately from the backpack so that the user can choose the size that best suits their needs.
Shimoda recommends the "520-214 Medium DSLR v2 (Frame, Side Access)" as the ideal camera insert for the Explore 30 V2 backpack, which is supplied with the starter kit.

Pockets for tripods and water bottles
Quick-opening pockets on both sides of the backpack can be used for water bottles, tripods or other outdoor equipment.

Description Medium DSLR Core Unit V2:
The Medium DSLR Core Unit V2 integrates seamlessly into the side access of the Action X50 backpack and also fits into every available Shimoda backpack and roller except the Action X30.
It includes all the popular features of the Shimoda Core Unit system, including EVA-laminated dividers and side panels, a lightweight and versatile removable sleeve, and an aluminum frame for added rigidity and support.
The DSLR depth is ideal for mirrorless and DSLR cameras (including bodies with grip) up to 16 cm high and Lens up to 70-200 mm 2.8.

Quick side access to the camera
Features integrated side access. With our new design, you have full access to the back and side access at the same time. The side flap connects seamlessly with the side flap of the Action X backpack.
Lightweight Water Repellent & Multipurpose Cover:
The included cover is primarily a storage option for the padded Core Units, ideal for when your gear is at home and not in use. It keeps the Core Unit sealed and dust-free. Its secondary function is to be used as a packing cell. The user can fill it with clothing or other common items and pack it into their backpack or carry-on roller.
EVA protective cover and dividers
The walls and dividers are made of EVA, which offers much better protection than the cheaper PE foams used in most camera bags. With EVA we have better control over the density and quality of the materials used to protect your equipment. This also means that our walls can be thinner and require less internal volume, but still provide excellent protection.
