This Lenses offers a wide aperture of F1.4 and a focal length equivalent to 22.5mm on full frame (24mm equivalent on Canon RF mount). All this is packed into an extremely compact, palm-sized body with a length of just 64.8mm* and a weight of just 220g* . Whether for everyday street photography, portraits, landscapes or video productions - even for live commerce and webinars - the Sigma 15mm F1.4 DC | Contemporary delivers high-quality performance. Thanks to the combination of exceptional portability and excellent image quality, professional results are possible everywhere.

Approximately 50% lighter, providing even greater flexibility
As a frequently used focal length, this Lens pursues an uncompromisingly compact and lightweight design. One FLD glass element, three SLD glass elements and three double-sided aspherical lenses are arranged so effectively that the Sigma 15mm F1.4 DC | Contemporary is approximately 30% shorter in length and 50% lighter in weight than its predecessor, the Sigma 16mm F1.4 DC DN | Contemporary. As the lightest lens in the Sigma F1.4 DC series, it expands creative possibilities by increasing the mobility of APS-C cameras.

The Sigma 15mm F1.4 DC | Contemporary was developed with the aim of surpassing the highly acclaimed optical performance of its predecessor, the Sigma 16mm F1.4 DC DN | Contemporary. Particular attention has been paid to improving edge-to-edge sharpness while at the same time suppressing sagittal coma, which often occurs with wide-angle lenses with large apertures. The
Lenses offers uncompromising sharpness across the entire image area, even when shooting with the aperture wide open. It delivers consistent performance from everyday street photography to starry night shots.

Rich expressiveness with a wide F1.4 aperture
Sigma's 15mm F1.4 DC | Contemporary delivers high optical performance even at maximum aperture. This allows photographers to enjoy creative work with the unmistakable rendition of an F1.4 wide-angle Lenses. The Lenses excels in low light conditions, for example in dimly lit interiors or when shooting at night. In addition, the aperture with nine rounded blades ensures a beautiful, soft circular bokeh. This makes it possible to emphasize the subject and give it depth, whether in photos or videos.

Optical design to minimize flares and ghosting
Flares and ghosting have been largely eliminated thanks to state-of-the-art simulation technology of all light incidence situations in the development phase of the Sigma 15mm F1.4 DC | Contemporary. As a result, the lens delivers high-contrast results under all conditions.

Minimal focus-breathing
Focus-breathing has been suppressed extremely effectively in the Sigma 15mm F1.4 DC | Contemporary. This virtually eliminates changes in the image angle when moving the focus point, which ensures very natural-looking focus tracking during video recordings.

Aperture ring or control ring with various functions
The Sigma 15mm F1.4 DC | Contemporary is equipped with an aperture ring for intuitive control of the aperture. The Canon RF mount version has a control ring instead of an aperture ring, which can be assigned individual functions via the camera menu of compatible cameras.

Dust protection, splashwater protection* and water and oil repellent coating
In addition to the dust and splash water protected body*, the front lens of the Sigma 15mm F1.4 DC | Contemporary has a water and oil repellent coating. This means that you can take pictures without worrying even in difficult shooting conditions.
