Character portraits in black and white | Jean Noir for Sigma
Live shooting contribution as part of our Fototage
Jean NoirIn times of higher, faster, further, the photographic mass market and social media, it is not always easy to stay true to yourself and your style - or to find it at all. The temptation is great to photograph what the masses expect. Consciously or unconsciously, people usually put their own feelings and drives in the background: perfectionism and beauty dominate - putting the mirror of reality in the closet and following the mainstream. But photography offers much more! Jean Noir's lectures and works offer the chance to discover exactly that. He lets you immerse yourself in a special way of working and invites you to tell stories, to create character portraits.
It's about capturing emotions, moments and narratives in images so that the viewer can interpret a story from them. Jean wants to show you how he tells these stories in his visual language. A puzzle of many small factors that create a whole. From the inspiration to the final story - timeless, minimalist, authentic.
