Instagram Takeover by Frederik Schindler

He was traveling in Namibia and gave our channel a new look for a short time. For all those who don't know what a takeover is:
We gave Frederik the power over our Instagram account for a short time and gave him the opportunity to share impressive scenery and his exciting photographic results with you.
Traveling with his family as a photographer
He was on the road with his small family and always manages to combine his passion, his family and his profession as a filmmaker and photographer
Together they drove over miles of deserted roads through the vastness of Namibia, which has impressive landscapes and nature in its purest form to offer. Rooftop tents were used as accommodation, which are unsurpassed in terms of flexibility and have transformed every location into a place to spend the night.
To the Instagram StoryThe equipment used
Naturally, telephoto lenses were used on safaris. In combination with the Canon EOS R, which was there as a camera, a Canon 70-200 f/2.8 L III and the Canon 100-400 f/4.5-5.6L II covered the focal length range that enables impressive detail shots of wild animals.
In the range below 70mm, primes and zooms from Sigma (Art) and Tamron (G2) were mainly used.
Recommendations for locations
Even though Namibia's nature is bursting with beauty, there are of course some places that are particularly recommended.
Frederik's list included the dunes of Sossusviei. These impressive sand formations rise hundreds of meters into the air and, in combination with the sun, create a crazy interplay of light and shadow.
