Sony - always one solution ahead
Lenses for Sony E-mount (or E-bayonet) offer a wide variety of possibilities for anyone, professional or amateur, who wants to meet the challenges of modern and contemporary photography.
The use of the various interchangeable lenses is of course determined by the photographer's needs and desires, but the E-mount for Sony mirrorless system cameras (of the Alpha 7, Alpha 6000, 5000 and NEX series) allows a wide range of possible lenses to be combined, either from Sony itself or from other manufacturers, for example Sigma, Tamron and Samyang, but also Canon, Walimex and others more. The choice of lens is essential for proper focusing and image processing, but is determined even more by the type of shooting (fixed focal length for portraits, zoom or megazooms for sports, motorized zoom for videos, macro for close-up, telephoto for distance, wide-angle for landscapes) - depending on preference or subject and partly implemented with OSS (optical SteadyShot), an image stabilization system developed by Sony. In any case, even if the need for interchangeable lenses is somewhat greater, a DSLM (digital single lens mirrorless) or system camera offers the basic requirements. Whatever the category, whether for reportage or leisure, portrait, outdoor, landscape, nature, Sony, in cooperation with a whole range of lens manufacturers, makes the optimal conditions possible.
Sony GM, Sony G or third party series
Those who are looking for maximum sharpness will find themselves looking at the Sony GM lenses, with the built-in glass and coatings Sony convinces with a small weight and the quite remarkable compactness. However, this has its price. G-Master lenses sell for an average above the 1,000 ? mark, where the Sony G lenses settle below. The G series lenses are usually a bit less light-intense with an aperture of f/4 and are still very suitable for filming, due to the constant aperture, which is not self-evident over the entire focal length range.
Third-party manufacturers like Tamron & Sigma also serve the market with high quality & good quality lenses. These are mostly in the price league of the Sony G line, but usually already have the open aperture of the G-Master series. Especially hobby photographers and semi-professional photographers rely on these lenses, since they offer a very good price performance.
