This compact and rugged 35mm camera features a metal body and a high-quality, multi-coated 32mm f/2.8 Lomo glass lens with five elements in five groups. It delivers sharp, vibrant 35mm images with an unmistakable analog character - whether you're capturing everyday life, special moments or your artistic projects. The Lomo MC-A is a versatile companion that adapts to your pace. Choose between fully automatic settings for uncomplicated shooting, aperture priority or full manual control for maximum creative freedom. The detailed LCD display shows all settings clearly and easily accessible.
Shooting modes for every style
Designed for everyone from curious beginners to experienced analog photographers, the Lomo MC-A puts you in control of your creative vision with three versatile shooting modes, fast autofocus with LiDAR or manual zone focusing from 0.4m and a powerful built-in flash or PC sync flash port.
- Program automatic: Uncomplicated operation, ideal for beginners and anyone who wants to concentrate on the moment. The LOMO MC-A automatically adjusts the shutter speed and aperture to the ambient conditions. An orange indicator light in the viewfinder warns of camera shake as soon as the shutter speed is below 1/30 second.
- Aperture priority: This function was developed for photographers who want to creatively control the depth of field without sacrificing the convenience of automatic exposure. You select the aperture (f/2.8 - f/16) and the camera calculates the shutter speed for a balanced exposure. Ideal for portraits, street photography and all scenes where selective focus is important. An orange indicator light in the viewfinder warns you of possible camera shake at shutter speeds below 1/30 second.
- Fully manual: You have full control over shutter speed, aperture and exposure compensation - ideal for experienced photographers who want to fine-tune each photo, experiment with creative effects or push the limits of film. Use the bulb mode for long exposures, light painting or to capture traces of movement in low light.
Quick as a flash
The LOMO MC-A flash is switched off by default and offers three different creative modes when activated:
- Automatic flash: The camera automatically adjusts the flash output to the ambient conditions. In the exposure modes "Program automatic" and "Aperture priority", the slowest shutter speed is limited to 1/30 second when the flash is switched on in order to avoid camera shake.
- Lomo Creative Flash Mode 1: a programmatic flash with synchronization to the first shutter curtain for long exposures and optimized exposure curve for night shots.
- Lomo Creative FlashMode 2: a programmatic flash with synchronization to the second shutter curtain for long exposures and optimized exposure curve for night shots.
Characteristic Lomography features
Lomography is not just about capturing a scene, but a memory, a moment, a feeling. The Lomo MC-A offers the typical lomography functions: Multiple and long exposures, a splitzer lens attachment and color filters, so that every picture becomes an experiment.
The box also contains a number of practical accessories. These include a custom-fit protective cover for the MC-A, a leather-covered lens cap and a leather wrist strap, which provide optimum protection for your camera and ensure clear shots. An MC UV glass filter is also included to protect your Lenses so you can take Schnappschuss without worrying about forgetting the lens cap!
This is a movement
Lomography was founded in Vienna in 1992 as a joyful rebellion. A revolt against perfectionism, elitism and the cold precision of traditional photography. We celebrated spontaneity, imperfection and the pure act of seeing. We photographed from the gut, embraced blur and chaos and embraced the accidental. Photography became play, protest, poetry. In 2025, our spirit is unbroken, but the world around us has changed.
Today, photography is ubiquitous and yet nowhere. We take more photos every day than entire generations have taken in their entire lives. Photography lives in our smartphones, in our stories, in the endless scrolling of apps. But this immediacy has been accompanied by a kind of erasure: images created for algorithms, forgotten after a few hours. Photos reduced to content. Memories outsourced to the cloud. Lomography was never a trend. It wasn't created in a conference room. It was born of a moment, the meeting of accessibility, spontaneity, rebellion and joy. And we still stand by what brought us here. We are not anti-digital. We are pro-reality.
The Lomo MC-A was born out of a desire to create a camera that takes our lomographers back to what really matters. It's a reminder of why you fell in love with photography in the first place. This camera is a call to switch off, free yourself from the glowing screens and TAKE YOUR LIFE BACK. The real life.
