The lightest and most compact tripod in Peak Design's new tripod series: The PeakDesign PRO LITE!
The PRO LITE is slightly larger than the well-known PeakDesign Travel Tripod, but benefits from its stiffer and more stable construction. It strikes an appealing compromise between portability and stability, with many exciting features:
Bigger and Sturdier
Bigger and sturdier legs, tighter overall tolerances compared to our travel tripod, CNC-machined parts instead of die-cast parts (like an all-new center axis), fewer leg segments, an all-new carbon fiber center column with flange, and brand new optional spike feet to add to your pro tripod. Use the sturdy counterweight hook to gain extra stability, especially in high winds. And perhaps the easiest way our new Pro tripods provide extra stability: the tripods are all so tall that you can achieve more with less (or no) use of the center column, which always results in a more stable shot.
The Pro ball head: Priority on creativity - with integrated fluid swivel function
We have gained years of experience with our travel tripod and designed our Pro ball head to be better in every way. The single adjustment ring is easier to grip. Attaching and detaching your camera is more secure. The fluid swivel function is now integrated. And even when the center column is all the way down, you still have a 15 degree head adjustment range.
We've redesigned our Arca-compatible camera lock so you can mount your camera faster, tighter and more effortlessly. Attach your camera, pull the plate lock ring to compensate for any remaining play and activate the safety lock to ensure your camera is firmly in place. Inserting the camera takes less than two seconds.
Once you've photographed with the Pro Ball Head, you'll find it hard to imagine using any other tripod head.
User Experience: Good, Better, Best, PRO!
We didn't stop at the well thought-out ball head improvements mentioned above, but went one step further. The Pro tripod is bursting with well thought-out functions:
Lightning-fast assembly and disassembly thanks to revised leg shapes and folding locks that are now more stable and easier to use. The brand new, CNC-milled leg angle adjusters lie completely flush when not in use. Attach counterweights to the robust hook on the center column. Want to shoot upside down? Remove the counterweight hook and mount the center column from below. Do you want to take photos from a low position? Tilt the head 90 degrees, remove the center column from the ball head and you're ready to go.
Remove the counterweight hook to reveal a hidden compartment in the center column where you can store the Foldable Hex Tool (included) or our Mobile Phone Holder (sold separately). Use the foldable hex tool to attach, tighten or loosen the included ARCA-compatible Peak Design standard plate or to perform simple maintenance on the tripod in the field. In addition, each Pro tripod comes with a carry bag designed by Peak Design's award-winning Softgoods division and features an integrated strap.
Flexibly expandable for video recordings
With the separately available Tilt-Mod, you can quickly and easily upgrade your Peak Design Pro tripod to a video tripod.
It adds a tilt function to the integrated pan function of the ball head, allowing you to use your Pro tripod for professional video recordings.
Alternatively, you can use the separately available Pro Leveling Base to adapt any fluid video head with a flat base to your Pro tripod.
