It features the coveted S-Cinetone™ look of high-end Cinema Line models, high dynamic range with S-Log3, Dual Base ISO, Cine-EI mode, top handle, threaded accessory mounting points, tally lamps and other workflow-enhancing details that put it in the same category as other Cinema Line models in terms of usability, functionality and design. It also features RAW output and timecode sync functions that make it highly expandable. The XLR handle offers three additional threaded holes for accessory use. Combined with the comprehensive selection of E-mount Lenses, high-performance audio solutions, and other key components, creatives get exceptionally flexible systems for a wide range of creative needs.

ATEMPING FILMIC IMAGE QUALITY:
It delivers advanced performance and functionality for truly high-quality cinematic expression. Sony's industry-leading image sensor technology ensures high sensitivity, low noise and wide dynamic range, delivering 4K Super 35 resolution for stunning image quality. The ILME-FX30 features S-Cinetone™, inherited from Sony digital cinema cameras such as the VENICE 2, delivering natural midtones as well as soft colors and gorgeous highlights essential for cinematic expression. Three modes are available for shooting, with the S-Log3 gamma curve providing smooth color gradation in cinema. Imported custom assignment LUTs can be recorded to minimize color correction in post-production. Dual Base ISO (800 / 2500) enables the capture of the best quality images in varying lighting conditions.

ADVANCED AF PERFORMANCE:
The ILME-FX30 provides highly reliable and accurate autofocus performance with wide-area tracking across the entire frame. With real-time eye AF that follows the face and eyes (for people and animals), the subject stays in focus. Focus is maintained precisely and consistently over a wide area, even at shallow depth of field or when tracking fast-moving subjects with real-time tracking. Stable AF and flexible focusing are available for a variety of shooting situations. AF Assist, Focus Map and Breathing Compensation are great auxiliary functions

COMPACT DESIGN:
The new ILME-FX30 has a compact and lightweight form factor designed for mobility and efficiency. The body has five threaded holes for accessories, eliminating the need for a cage, and features an XLR handle for optimal flexibility, stability and comfort during extended handheld shooting. Built-in stabilization keeps the entire setup highly mobile, which can support demanding shooting situations without a gimbal.

FLEXIBLE CONTROL FOR FILM PRODUCTION:
Quickly access your favorite elements with the new main menu. Focus on composition and framing with the optimized standby mode for movie shooting. Shooting lights and highlighted shooting indicators provide clear confirmation of the shot in progress. Flexible, high-resolution touchscreen LCD monitor allows wide positioning and compositional freedom for gimbal shooting. The zoom lever controls compatible motorized zoom lenses and enables use of Clear Image Zoom with non-motorized zoom and fixed focal lengths with excellent image quality. Auto and manual modes for aperture, shutter speed and ISO can be set independently for flexible exposure modes. Vertical side markers to check image framing in horizontal orientation.

HIGHLY ADVANCABLE:
The two XLR audio inputs enable high-quality audio recording. With an optional XLR microphone, digital audio can be transmitted directly to the camera for superior audio quality with a very clean audio signal. Other connections include USB Type-C®, multi/micro USB, microphone, headphones, and a Multi Interface Shoe with built-in digital audio interface. All of these connectivity options provide broad expandability for a variety of recording needs. The ILME-FX30 also supports UVC (USB Video Class) and UAC (USB Audio Class) standards and can be connected to a compatible device via USB to serve as a high-performance webcam.
