The LUMIX S1IIE is designed to deliver outstanding photo and video performance, with superior image quality and vivid color accuracy. Operation and ergonomics are identical to the popular S1RII, offering maximum comfort in all situations. It is equipped with a 24.2 MP BSI sensor that ensures the best image quality in various shooting conditions.
Performance in core functions such as advanced real-time detection, phase-hybrid AF with AI-controlled eye, face and new "Urban Sports" tracking, as well as 8.0-stop image stabilization or cropless stabilization for smooth, distortion-free videos, has been further improved. For the first time in the S-Series, ARRI LogC3 is supported via the DMW-SFU3A upgrade key.
The new Cinemascope video format (2.4:1) is available in various frame rates, including 60p without crop. This camera is the perfect choice for those looking for an upgrade in terms of ergonomics and operation and who are looking to create higher quality content.

Many photographers like to use a low ISO sensitivity to keep image noise as low as possible. Especially in star photography, fast wide-angle lenses are often chosen as they can make efficient use of low light. The 14-24mm F2.8 DG DN | Art was developed as the ultimate wide-angle zoom lens with a large diameter by optimizing the standard technical data for star photography for mirrorless full-frame cameras. Its smooth imaging performance and excellent resolution right to the edge of the image make it the "definitive lens for astrophotography". This new generation large diameter zoom lens takes advantage of the short flange focal length to combine a compact body with unprecedented high-resolution image quality.

About the product name:
The product name contains "DG" when the lens is designed to deliver its maximum performance on cameras with full-frame sensors and "DN" when the lens design is optimized for short flange focal length mirrorless cameras.

Newly developed range of high-performance lenses for full-frame mirrorless cameras
As the development of mirrorless cameras continues apace, expectations are rising for lenses that are suitable for high-performance full-frame mirrorless cameras. Unfortunately, many photographers may feel they have little choice in mirrorless lens systems in terms of performance, size and comprehensive product lines, and are burdened with having to use multiple systems. SIGMA has therefore created this new full-frame mirrorless lens series as an optimal solution to this problem.

SIGMA is developing interchangeable lenses with unprecedented technical specifications and performance that also benefit from the short flange focal length of mirrorless cameras while fitting into the "Contemporary", "Art" and "Sports" concepts. We will be the first to introduce three models in this series.

High-resolution image quality thanks to exclusive glass elements with low color dispersion and NPC (Nano Porous Coating)
One FLD glass element and five SLD glass elements are arranged to suppress chromatic aberrations right to the edge of the image. Three aspherical lenses, including a large-diameter aspherical lens as the front lens, effectively minimize coma etc. to achieve breathtaking resolution. The Super Multi-Layer Coating is combined with a newly developed NPC (Nano Porous Coating)*. The Lens is designed to be less susceptible to strong incident light such as backlighting.

* SIGMA's new unique coating technology "NPC (Nano Porous Coating)" contains porous silicon dioxide as a coating material. The porous silicon dioxide layer has nano-sized holes filled with air. Holes of this size enable a significant reduction in the refractive index, which means that reflection can be reduced more than with conventional anti-reflective coatings. This greatly reduces the reflected light that leads to reflections and ghost images and achieves clear image quality.

Extensive range of functions ensures user confidence even under difficult conditions
The installation of a stepper motor enables the fast and quiet AF drive. Shooting is also convenient when using point AF such as face detection/eye detection AF and when shooting video. The AFL button, which can be assigned different functions depending on the camera, extends the working range of the Lens. In addition, the lens has a dust and splash-proof construction as well as a water and oil-repellent coating on the front lens, which further supports photography in various environments.

Rear filter holder as standard accessory
The lens is supplied with a rear filter holder for attaching filter films, which is equipped with a drop protection lock.

Ein Traum für Landschaftsfoto- und Videografen
Optik? Knackscharf. 14-24mm? Geile Range. Verarbeitung? Hammer.
Ist mittlerweile zu meinem absoluten Lieblingsobjektiv geworden, auch wenn mich für Video stört, dass ich mein VND+CPL Filtersystem nicht vorne aufschrauben kann. Stattdessen nutze ich HAIDA ND Filter, wofür ich beim Wechsel aber jedes Mal das Objektiv abschrauben muss: nervig. Für die meisten Situationen reicht ein ND2 bei 30fps, wenn man mit der ISO spielt.
Doch trotz all dem: allein die 14mm am unteren Ende sind absolut mega und gepaart mit der Optik und Verarbeitung ein Traum für Landschaften!

Absolut Mega... aber tricky für Video!
Sowohl Optik und Verarbeitung sind absolut mega. Seit meinem Schottland-Urlaub ist es gar mein absolutes Lieblings-Objektiv geworden!

Einziger Nachteil: es lassen sich keine Filter anschrauben, was fürs Filmen nachteilig ist. Ergo habe ich mir Drop-In ND Filter von Haida holen müssen, um mein 180° Shutter Angle beibehalten zu können. Und das Wechseln ist äußerst nervig... dennoch, die Optik ist es wert!
