The mechanical design with the retractable structure and the optimized optical design with three aspherical elements ensure the world's unique2 compactness and low weight (167 g) of the Lens. Combined with a compact E-mount body, the lens is ideal for capturing high-quality full-frame images in a wide range of shooting situations where mobility is key - from everyday snapshots to travel photography and vlogging.

The use of three aspherical lenses reduces various aberrations, resulting in outstanding optical performance. Despite the compact and lightweight design of the lens, a consistently high resolution is achieved right up to the edge of the image, as is characteristic of full-frame cameras.

With a versatile and frequently used focal length of 28-60 mm, the lens is ideal for a wide range of everyday subjects. Circular aperture with 7 blades
The circular aperture with 7 blades forms an almost perfect circle at all aperture settings. This allows images to achieve a more elegant, natural blur, including artistic blur or bokeh effects, as well as a more controlled depth of field.

Linear motor drive for excellent AF performance
A linear AF motor provides the fast and precise AF performance required by the latest full-frame cameras. Quiet operation makes the drive well suited for image and video recording. The fast and precise response of the motor ensures that the maximum performance of the camera's AF functions, such as real-time tracking and real-time eye detection autofocus, is achieved.
