Sony's Super G telephoto zoom lens is suitable for full-frame E-mount cameras and has the widest zoom range of any E-mount lens released to date. With its high-quality image and powerful, quiet DDSSM autofocus, the Lens is perfect for sports and wildlife photography when used with one of the latest E-mount cameras. With the optional teleconverters, the focal length can be extended to 840mm (1.4x) or 1200mm (2.0x). To keep your photos sharp and in focus at this distance, the Super G telephoto zoom offers optical stabilization in three different mode settings. The internal zoom mechanism means that the length of the Lens does not change, ensuring more stable shots. There are 3 focus hold buttons, each 90° apart.

Sony adds a new premium model to its extensive lineup of full-frame E-mount lenses with the new 200-600mm F5.6-6.3 G OSS Super Telephoto SEL-200600G.
Sony's new G-series SEL-200600G features the widest zoom range of any E-mount lens from Sony. It utilizes the most advanced Lens technologies to ensure excellent image quality, powerful autofocus, and outstanding operability. Combined with the latest and fastest E-mount cameras, it reliably tracks and precisely captures moving subjects. This is especially important in sports and wildlife photography.

Compatible with Sony 1.4x and 2.0x teleconverters (optional), extending the range to a maximum of 840mm at f/9 or 1200mm at f/13 with outstanding image quality and AF performance.

Built-in optical stabilization with three different mode settings enables sharp and focused images at extended super telephoto focal lengths.

Fast, precise and quiet autofocus
Equipped with the DDSSM (Direct Drive Super Sonic Wave Motor) focusing system, the new Lens has the power and precision to move the elements inside it quickly and accurately for perfect focus.

The advanced focusing system enables exceptionally quiet operation and avoids unwanted noise that can be disruptive, especially in wildlife photography.

Internal Zoom Mechanism for Reliable and Stable Handheld Shooting
The overall length of the Lens remains constant when zooming, providing even balance and distance between the front of the Lens and the desired subject.

Constant length structure with internal zoom mechanism is used to ensure high resistance to dust and moisture in harsh outdoor conditions.

Fast zoom operation with light zoom ring torque

Precise control and high reliability in every use
Focus ring with linear-response manual focus adjustment for precise and fast manual focusing.

Three individually configurable focus hold buttons and focus range limiter provide maximum control when shooting.

Dust and moisture resistant design and a fluorine coating that effectively protects the front element against dirt and fingerprints.

High resolution throughout the zoom range
The new optical design with 5 ED glass elements and an aspherical element provides superior resolution and image quality throughout the zoom range. The aspherical element suppresses spherical aberration and distortion, and the ED glass elements minimize aberrations that can occur at super-telephoto focal lengths.

Fast, precise autofocus for moving subjects
The lens mechanism is controlled by Sony's powerful DDSSM (Direct Drive SSM) system, so focusing is fast and precise. This means that every movement can be captured. Pinpoint autofocus is also lightning fast. In addition, the DDSSM system is incredibly quiet.

Beautiful, Natural G Lens Bokeh
The circular aperture with 11 blades can be used to further enhance the lens' beautiful bokeh. Take advantage of the shallow depth of field at super-telephoto zoom focal lengths to create stunning shots with deep, soft G Lens bokeh.

Excellent control and reliability on the go
The internal zoom mechanism means the length of the Lens does not change when zooming, allowing for stable, handheld shooting. Adjustable focus hold buttons are located in 3 places, each 90° apart. The fluorine coating on the front element and the dust and moisture resistant design ensure high reliability in demanding conditions.

Das Objektiv hat sich beim ersten Einsatz schon bewährt.
Nach einigem überlegen und Herumprobieren mit kleineren Brennweiten bin ich nun stolzer Besitzer dieses Objektivs. Das will man nicht mehr missen. Man kann es jedem Interessenten nur wärmstens empfehlen. Hebt die Naturfotografie auf ein neues Level. Spaßfaktor ist garantiert.

Tolles Zoom für Tiere und mehr
Tolles Zoom mit ordentlicher Schärfe über den ganzen Bereich, wird verwendet für die Tierfotografie sowohl in freier Wildbahn wie auch gelegentlich im Zoo/Wildpark, ist aber auch gut einsetzbar in der Landschaftsfotografie.
Einziger Kritikpunkt ist die Größe und das Gewicht, aber damit muss man leben bei dem Zoombereich.
