Professional images with Canon L-series professional lenses

Canon's L-series lenses are aimed primarily at professional and semi-professional photographers. Thanks to the consistent use of dust-resistant and waterproof seals, they are also suitable for use on SLR cameras under adverse conditions.
The L series covers the entire spectrum of lens types. Mainly represented are wide-angle and zoom lenses, but also fixed focal length and macro lenses are included. By using a wide variety of lenses, new ideas can always be created and implemented. With a telephoto zoom lens, portrait pictures can be taken or wild animals can be photographed unnoticed. A macro lens, on the other hand, is suitable for discovering the tiny world of insects. An L lens from Canon stands for optics of the highest quality with very good imaging performance. The lenses in the series contain fluorite or ultra-low dispersion glass elements, which are aspherically ground. Due to the combination of fluoride and UD lenses, chromatic aberrations can be almost completely avoided even at long range. Imaging errors in the form of color fringes in the contour area are thus a thing of the past. Zoom lenses of the L-series can be equipped with a fast and almost noiseless ultrasonic motor, as well as an image stabilizer.
The housing of the Canon L-series is mostly made of magnesium and provides a pleasant feel. The diameter of these lenses is larger compared to other Canon models, which should be taken into account when selecting filters.

With the new 28-70mm f/2.8 IS STM, Canon wants to change this. Find out how the lens compares to the alternatives in this blog post with video.
