File split possible for long recording times (recording is saved in multiple files)
For a long time now, the handy and compact NINJA series from Atomos has been setting new standards in video production. Whether as a preview monitor with numerous analysis tools or as a professional solution for external recording. The Ninja has not only established itself with filmmakers and other creatives, but has also constantly improved to meet the demands of users. The brand new NINJA is the pinnacle of this ecosystem. The completely redesigned OS11 operating system not only makes it easier for users to operate, but also provides a pleasant and professional look.
The tried and tested Atomos accessories also fit the proven form factor. Advanced monitoring tools such as ARRI False Color or SegmentPro integrate the NINJA perfectly into your individual workflow. Users also get free access to the H.265 codec. All of these much sought-after tools make the NINJA an unbeatable companion on the film set or "in the field". Combined with the Atomos Connect module, you can give your NINJA even more possibilities and cleverly integrate your camera into the Camera2Cloud workflow.
Bringing visions to life.
The NINJA brings your creativity to life in every project, from cinematography and social media to HDR and SDR. It can be easily combined with a wide range of HDMI-enabled cameras, from professional cinema cameras to mirrorless cameras.
The recording tool
The NINJA is the ultimate field monitor for film and video creators on the go who value high-quality standard codecs such as ProRes and ProRes RAW. The Ninja's state-of-the-art screen preserves clarity and color even in the brightest conditions and displays bright, clear HDR images for monitoring on set or on the move.
Compact monitor+recorder perfection
The Atomos NINJA features a stunningly bright 5.2-inch 10-bit HDR monitor with 1000nits brightness. The slim and robust aluminium chassis weighs just 360g and is only 25mm deep, making it easy to integrate into any setup.
New AtomOS, new look, new possibilities
Atomos introduces a new version of its operating system, AtomOS 11, designed specifically for the new NINJA, which not only looks fantastic but also offers a range of great new features:
The tools have been made more visible and the look of the icons optimized so you know exactly which tool you need. The user interface is easier to use, more logical and more professional looking.
Endless possibilities with OS11
The NINJA offers a huge selection of familiar and new functions that simplify your workflow. These include AtomOS Monitor Assist functions such as Focus Peaking, Zoom, Vectorscopes + Atomos and ARRI False Color. EL Zone enables color exposure through to Safe Areas, Cine Guides and our AtomHDR processing engine, which enables real-time Log>PQ/HLG preview and much more.
Unlock the full potential of your camera
The NINJA is compatible with all major editing and grading programs thanks to its wide range of codecs. Virtually any HDMI or SDI source is supported, including cameras from Nikon, FujiFilm, Canon, Panasonic, Sony, Z-Cam, Sigma, Olympus, RED and ARRI.
NINJA+ ProRes RAW
More than 55 cameras now support RAW recording via HDMI with the NINJA, and the list is growing. Apple ProRes RAW combines the visual and workflow benefits of RAW video with the incredible real-time performance of ProRes, giving filmmakers tremendous latitude in customizing the look of their images, making it ideal for HDR workflows. The new Apple ProRes RAW plug-in adds camera-specific properties to the mix. Ninja owners can now record RAW over SDI with compatible cameras via the Atomos Connect module.
These new features make the Ninja even more versatile, offering professional I/O options for a wide range of cameras - from entry-level mirrorless cameras to the latest compacts and high-end professional cameras.
NINJAConnect
Add an Atomos Connect module to the Ninja for access to cloud workflows such as C2C, Atomos Edit and Atomos RemoteView via Atomos Cloud Studio. Connect also offers 12G-SDI, AirGlu wireless timecode and control, Wi-Fi 6 and GigE Ethernet.
Get access to Atomos RemoteView with a subscription to Atomos Cloud Services, which offers a simple pay-as-you-go service with Atomos Credits. Atomos RemoteView is a unique new service that lets you wirelessly share what's on your Atomos screen with other Atomos users as well as iPads, Macs and Apple TVs. You can monitor what's happening on set and mirror the camera that's capturing the image. What's more, you can do this from anywhere in the world. This opens up a new creative freedom for filmmakers.
NDIvia Atomos Connect
NDI offers a way to transmit video over normal networks (including Wi-Fi and cellular) in high quality and with remarkably low bandwidth requirements. This method is increasingly used in live production, and now your Ninja can also be integrated into an NDI network. The NDI TX option turns your Connect-enabled Ninja into an NDI source that is visible to all other NDI-compatible devices on the local network.
4KHDR- Gaming Capture
The NINJA is a standalone system for 4k UHD, HDR and high frame rate recording that eliminates the need for expensive, complicated and unreliable PC setups. The Ninja enables easy recording and instant monitoring. Capture every detail in HDR and automatically add all important HDR flags for upload to YouTube. Ideal for game development testing, pre-release recording sessions or just to score with your content!
Atomos Remote App
The AtomRemote app for iOS and macOS provides a range of external control options for the NINJA in combination with the Atomos Connect module. The app allows you to perform a range of configuration settings and operations up to 15 meters away from the device via Bluetooth LE. Input options include the ability to define camera connections, select gamma/EOTF and make gamut settings. For monitoring, AtomRemote can be used to control playback, select monitoring modes, apply custom 3D LUTs or view image analysis tools such as exposure and focus. Output control includes options for 4K to HD, LUT preview and HDR output.
