Our lightest full-frame camera yet. Weighing only approx. 461 g, the EOS R8 is ideal for content creators and anyone shooting on location at events. A special switch enables direct switching between photo and video mode, while retaining the settings in the respective modes. One.

Really smart: intelligent focusing
Our best-in-class Dual Pixel CMOS AF II recognizes subjects near the edges of the frame and continues to track them even if they briefly move out of the field of view. When you take portraits or interviews, for example, the autofocus focuses on the eyes. If they are not visible, it focuses on the face, then the head and then the body.

Outstanding 4K and Full HD video recordings
With impressive 4K videos up to 60p from oversampling of the 6K sensor data and Full HD videos up to 180p and recording times up to 2 hours, 3-5 sec. pre-recording and professional video settings. Pre-recording and professional video settings such as Canon Log 3 make your content stand out from the crowd.

Optimally integrated into the workflow
