RS Enhanced Intelligent Tracking Module
The module ^[1] allows you to frame and track any subject ^[1] directly from the gimbal's touchscreen so that it remains precisely positioned. And when tracking a person, it offers a range of up to 10 meters and can recapture the subject if they briefly disappear from the frame.

Next generation algorithm, improved torque
The maximum motor torque has been increased by 50 % compared to the previous model and ensures stability in fast-moving scenes. The 5th generation RS stabilization algorithm improves stabilization when walking, running and shooting in portrait format, always with the ideal balance between stability and control.

Compact body with a payload of up to 3 kg
The gimbal weighs only 1.46 kg with battery grip and quick release plates and switches to portrait format without additional accessories. With a load capacity of 3 kg, it can easily carry common mirrorless camera and lens combinations ^[4].

New Bluetooth trigger support for Panasonic and Fujifilm
In addition to cameras from Sony, Canon and Nikon, the Bluetooth trigger of the RS 5 now also supports certain Panasonic and Fujifilm cameras ^[7] and enables wireless control of the shutter release, zoom and Clear Image Zoom without any cables.

Smooth and precise balancing
Fine adjustment knobs on each axis arm allow for quick and precise balancing via a threaded mechanism. Combined with Teflon™ interlayers, the RS 5 enables smooth and precise balancing even with heavier professional setups.

2nd generation automatic axis locks
The 2nd generation automatic axis locks automatically lock the gimbal when switched off or at rest to facilitate transitions and storage. When switched on, they unlock just as quickly, getting you ready to film those decisive moments in no time.

3rd generation nativevertical shooting
To switch to portrait mode, simply loosen and press the one-sided button, remove the gimbal's horizontal plate, rotate it 90° and tighten it again ^[8] - all in just a few seconds.

Two-layer quick-release plates
The Arca-Swiss top plate and the Manfrotto bottom plate allow you to quickly switch between gimbal and tripod without re-balancing thanks to the position memory. In addition, the top plate has an adjustable guide for secure camera mounting.

Support for DJI Focus Pro Motor
When paired with two Focus Pro motors [5], the RS 5 allows camera operators to adjust the lens zoom via the joystick and precisely control the focus via the dial for seamless and effortless lens control.

Support for DJI SDR Transmission
Both self-employed camera operators and small teams can use DJI SDR Transmission ^[5] for high-resolution live feeds, remote control of gimbal and camera, Force Mobile and more.

RSA communication port
The RSA port connects the electronic briefcase handle, RS Tethered Control Handle [5] and remote control ring handles [5]. The open RS SDK also allows third-party developers to create their own functions.

1. Requires the DJI RS Enhanced Intelligent Tracking Module, sold separately or as part of the compatible combo. People tracking is limited to a single subject and is not recommended in scenarios with multiple people, overlapping positions, similar clothing, exaggerated movements or complex clothing. Vehicle tracking is suitable for scenarios with a single vehicle where less than 30% of the vehicle area is obscured and is not suitable for fast moving vehicles. Pet tracking is limited to a single animal and is not suitable for animals that move quickly or change direction frequently. If the subject briefly leaves the field of view, intelligent re-detection within 2 seconds is only supported for people tracking. The data was measured in a controlled environment. Actual performance may vary depending on environment, usage and firmware version.
