The mirrorless full-frame system camera stands for quality and precision "Made in Germany".
It combines state-of-the-art technology and user-friendly design with the craftsmanship that Leica has stood for for more than 150 years.

Full-frame sensor with triple resolution technology and image stabilization
The 60-megapixel sensor of the Leica SL3 offers a dynamic range of up to 15 f-stops, 14-bit colour depth and exceptionally good noise performance for breathtaking images. And in three different resolutions: 60, 36 and 18 megapixels, in DNG and JPG format. Its ISO sensitivity ranges from ISO 50 to ISO 100000 and guarantees outstanding results in all lighting conditions. Camera shake is also efficiently compensated for by the 5-axis image stabilization (IBIS).

Maestro IV processor
This state-of-the-art image processor ensures fast and reliable operation of the Leica SL3 in both photo and video applications. Optimized noise performance, fast signal processing and Leica's characteristic colour reproduction are just some of the many aspects with which this high-performance processor with L2 technology enables photography and videography with the unmistakable Leica look. Especially for videographers, the Maestro IV supports the transfer speed of the CFexpress Type B interface and the ability to record 8K video and a range of highly efficient video codecs.

Precise autofocus system
The autofocus in the SL3 combines three technologies using efficient algorithms. Depending on the shooting situation, the interplay of phase detection (PDAF), depth map (Object Detection AF) and contrast detection (Contrast Detection AF) is optimally adapted. In this way, the SL3 ensures razor-sharp images in any light. Intelligent scene recognition also supports the photography of dynamic scenes. The particular strengths of each individual technology are combined into a high-precision system that effortlessly fulfills all professional requirements.

Unique Leica UX design
Leica's product design is highly regarded internationally. The Leica SL3 fulfills all requirements for intuitive and consistently user-oriented operation in an outstanding manner. With its sophisticated icon and menu design, a touch interface with gesture control and clearly structured navigation, it ensures smooth shooting processes. Clearly separated into photo and video functions, each with its own color scheme: red for photo and yellow for video.

Adaptable to individual preferences
The main functions of the SL3 can be fully adapted to individual requirements. Freely assignable FN buttons and additional operating elements are just as much a part of this as the customizable assignment of frequently used functions in the control center on the tiltable 3.2-inch touch display. Thanks to the floating design, the arrangement of the icons on the display automatically adapts to the orientation of the camera so that all information remains optimally legible. With its energy-saving stand-by mode, the SL3 is also ready to shoot at the click of a shutter button.

Optimized design
The SL3 is noticeably lighter and more compact than its predecessors and fits perfectly in the hand. An optimized camera design ensures perfect balance with all currently available Leica L-mount lenses and makes the SL3 a particularly comfortable tool for demanding creatives. The elegant leather coating, which is also found on the separately available handgrip, ensures optimum grip and a noble feel.

Fully sealed body Made in Germany
The Leica SL3 impresses with its robust construction, which is designed to withstand the challenges of daily use at all times. Exclusively high-quality materials give the SL3 durability and reliability for years to come. On the software side, this is ensured by continuous firmware updates, which can be easily installed using the Leica FOTOS app. The IP54 certification of the solid all-metal housing always ensures extended protection against moisture and dust and enables use as a photo and video camera even under adverse production conditions.

High-resolution EyeRes® viewfinder
The eyepiece of the SL3's electronic viewfinder is elaborately manufactured with high-quality coated glass lenses. This allows the image of the OLED display inside to be optimally displayed with a resolution of 5.76 million pixels and up to 120 fps. Exposure and composition can therefore be assessed with absolute reliability in the live preview. The integrated eye sensor automatically switches between the viewfinder and the Live View display when the camera is not held directly to the eye.

Fast data transfer with or without cable
The SL3's numerous interfaces for data transfer and connectivity include slots for CFexpress type B and UHS-II SD cards, a USB-C port for fast data transfer, tethering and charging as well as an HDMI type A output for external monitors or recording devices. A dedicated timecode interface ensures the synchronization of image and sound for video productions with multiple cameras. In addition, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi with MIMO technology ensure a stable and fast connection to the Leica FOTOS app. Photos in full DNG resolution can be transferred from the camera to a mobile device within approx. 2 seconds. Dieses robuste und an Abbildungsleistung kaum zu übertreffende Fotografenwerkzeug kombiniert mit dem
l Mount der auch die Möglichkeit bietet, andere Objektive, als Leica zu verwenden, erhöht den Nutzungsumfang enorm.

Alternative zum BP-SCL 4
Endlich ein Akku, der länger hält, vorrätig und dazu, günstiger ist, funktioniert auch super in meiner Leica SL ( Typ 601 )
Zu den SL-Kameras gab es dazu auch ein Firmware-Update Ende 2023
