Full-frame sensor with triple resolution technology and image stabilization
The 60-megapixel sensor of the Leica SL3 offers a dynamic range of up to 15 f-stops, 14-bit colour depth and exceptionally good noise performance for breathtaking images. And in three different resolutions: 60, 36 and 18 megapixels, in DNG and JPG format. Its ISO sensitivity ranges from ISO 50 to ISO 100000 and guarantees outstanding results in all lighting conditions. Camera shake is also efficiently compensated for by the 5-axis image stabilization (IBIS).

Maestro IV processor
This state-of-the-art image processor ensures fast and reliable operation of the Leica SL3 in both photo and video applications. Optimized noise performance, fast signal processing and Leica's characteristic colour reproduction are just some of the many aspects with which this high-performance processor with L2 technology enables photography and videography with the unmistakable Leica look. Especially for videographers, the Maestro IV supports the transfer speed of the CFexpress Type B interface and the ability to record 8K video and a range of highly efficient video codecs.

Precise autofocus system
The autofocus in the SL3 combines three technologies using efficient algorithms. Depending on the shooting situation, the interplay of phase detection (PDAF), depth map (Object Detection AF) and contrast detection (Contrast Detection AF) is optimally adapted. In this way, the SL3 ensures razor-sharp images in any light. Intelligent scene recognition also supports the photography of dynamic scenes. The particular strengths of each individual technology are combined into a high-precision system that effortlessly fulfills all professional requirements.

The main functions of the SL3 can be fully adapted to individual requirements. Freely assignable FN buttons and additional operating elements are just as much a part of this as the customizable assignment of frequently used functions in the control center on the tiltable 3.2-inch touch display. Thanks to the floating design, the arrangement of the icons on the display automatically adapts to the orientation of the camera so that all information remains optimally legible. High-resolution EyeRes® viewfinder
The eyepiece of the SL3's electronic viewfinder is elaborately manufactured with high-quality coated glass lenses. This allows the image of the OLED display inside to be optimally displayed with a resolution of 5.76 million pixels and up to 120 fps. Exposure and composition can therefore be assessed with absolute reliability in the live preview. The integrated eye sensor automatically switches between the viewfinder and the Live View display when the camera is not held directly to the eye.

Fast data transfer with or without cable
The SL3's numerous interfaces for data transfer and connectivity include slots for CFexpress type B and UHS-II SD cards, a USB-C port for fast data transfer, tethering and charging as well as an HDMI type A output for external monitors or recording devices. A dedicated timecode interface ensures the synchronization of image and sound for video productions with multiple cameras. In addition, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi with MIMO technology ensure a stable and fast connection to the Leica FOTOS app. Photos in full DNG resolution can be transferred from the camera to a mobile device within approx. 2 seconds. Panasonic announces the LUMIX S PRO 24-70mm F2.8, a new member of the L-mount system for the LUMIX S series of full-frame mirrorless cameras. The new Lens is a fast standard zoom lens that complies with Leica standards, ensuring professional performance throughout the zoom range.

With a focal length of 24-70mm, the LUMIX S PRO 24-70mm F2.8 delivers high-resolution as well as high-contrast images and is recommended for a wide range of uses - from landscapes to portraits. The consistently high F2.8 aperture provides smooth defocusing from in-focus to out-of-focus across the entire focal length for a beautiful bokeh effect.

18 lens elements in 16 groups provide the highest resolution to the edge while minimizing distortion and edge darkening. Three aspherical and 4 ED (Extra-low Dispersion) lenses prevent chromatic aberration.
The aspherical lenses reduce size and weight and effectively prevent aberrations and noise. ED (Extra-Low Dispersion) lenses correct chromatic aberration and enable sharp images with high contrast and clear colors throughout the image. Furthermore, by utilizing a UHR (Ultra High Refractive) lens, the Lens provides high image quality from the center to the corners of the image despite its large aperture.

A dual focus system combining a linear motor and a stepper motor, along with 480Hz control, ensures fast and precise autofocus. The Lens features a "focus clutch" mechanism that allows the focus ring to be adjusted between two positions, once with and once without focus distance indications. This allows for quick AF/MF changes and provides intuitive operability. The LUMIX S PRO 24-70mm F2.8 also shines in video shooting by reducing the effect of focus breathing.

Thanks to its dust- and splash-resistant^*1 design, the Lens can be used in cold temperatures as low as -10°C and in the most adverse conditions.

The filter has a diameter of 82 mm and features 11 blades for a virtually circular aperture.

Panasonic has set a goal of developing at least ten "LUMIX S PRO" Lenses by 2020 and further expanding the S Series product lineup. Together with alliance partners ^Leica*2 and Sigma, this will bring the total number of L-mount lenses available on the market to more than 45.
