Capture decisive seconds with this unique combination of performance and endurance. The D850 shoots up to 7 fps. With the optional MB-D18 multi-function handgrip and EN-EL18 series battery installed (as in D4, D4s, D5), even 9 fps is possible. This applies to images in full resolution, also in RAW format (NEF). With the standard EN-EL15a battery, 1840 images are possible on a single charge (in single-frame shooting mode, according to CIPA standards). A special AF processor ensures phenomenal subject detection during fast shooting sessions: Even in difficult lighting conditions, you can track even fast-moving small subjects with remarkable precision. The 153-point autofocus system, including 99 cross-type sensors (as in the D5), operates with unparalleled precision and high light sensitivity down to -3 EV in all focus points. The center focus area even offers sensitivity down to -4 EV (ISO 100, 20 °C).

Experience extremely low-noise image results at high ISOs and high exposure precision even when shooting at dusk. The fast EXPEED 5 image-processing engine inherited from the D5 ensures fantastic image quality throughout the wide ISO range. The antive ISO sensitivity of ISO 64, which starts the standard ISO range, allows phenomenal shooting quality without any limitation of the huge dynamic range offered by the camera. The low entry-level ISO also offers expanded capabilities in bright shooting environments through the usability of a wider aperture or when using flash in daylight. The 180,000-pixel RGB exposure metering sensor and advanced scene recognition system enable spectacular results with highly accurate exposure control down to -3 EV.

The camera's USB 3.0 port lets you transfer large amounts of data quickly, which is ideal for tethered shooting. This wireless LAN adapter lets you send files to an FTP server or computer at speeds up to 866.7 Mbps. Plus, SnapBridge lets you upload high-quality JPEG files to your social media stream or secure online gallery in a snap. Tamron presents the new fast zoom lens, SP 24-70mm F/2.8 Di VC USD G2 (Model A032), for full-frame DSLR cameras. The 24-70mm G2 is a fast F/2.8 zoom and has been extensively redesigned from its predecessor to offer the highest image quality and performance.

The new Dual MPU (Micro Processing Unit) enables faster autofocus with improved accuracy and world-class image stabilization*1 (CIPA standards of 5 stops).

Tamron's exclusive eBAND coating reduces flare and light reflections inside the Lens. Even when shooting backlit, the new Tamron SP 24-70mm F/2.8 Di VC USD G2 achieves flawless, brilliant image results. In addition, the front lens of the A032 model features a water- and grease-repellent fluorine coating. The new Tamron SP 24-70mm F/2.8 Di VC USD G2 is protected against the ingress of splash water and dust with special seals at all critical points. Discerning photographers can use the new fast zoom Lens for a wide range of applications, including landscape, portrait, reportage, travel and more.

1.Sophisticated design ensures outstanding performance and the highest image quality
The use of special, high-quality glass materials ensures accurate color reproduction and superior sharpness, perfect for the demands of today's high-end camera sensors. The optical design (17 elements in 12 groups) uses 2 XR (Extra Refractive Index) elements, 3 LD (Low Dispersion) elements, 3 GM (Glass-Molded aspherical) elements, and a hybrid aspherical lens element.
The high-performance lenses minimize image defects such as chromatic aberrations (color fringing), to which fast zoom lenses are somewhat more prone, while providing uniformly high image quality across the entire image area.

2optimized eBAND coating
All lens elements feature an eBAND (Extendes Bandwidth + Angular-Dependency) coating that has been further developed by Tamron specifically for the SP 24-70mm G2. This technology combines a conventional multi-coating and an ultra-low refractive index nano-coating.
The high anti-reflective properties of this combination provide very effective anti-reflection coating of the lens surfaces, minimizing stray light and light reflections inside the Lens. Even when shooting against the light, brilliant image results are achieved with the new zoom lens.

3. New Control System Dual-MPU (Micro-Processing Unit) provides faster and more precise autofocus and improved image stabilization
The innovative control system uses a dual-MPU design with improved processing power. With this design, autofocus and image stabilization do not share one MPU, but are each controlled by their own processor. This results in faster and more precise AF performance and more powerful image stabilization. In combination, low-light performance has also been improved.

High-performance MPU improves autofocus accuracy and speed
The 24-70mm G2 is equipped with a USD (Ultrasonic Silent Drive) motor to ensure excellent focusing speed and accuracy. The use of a standalone MPU enables fast digital signal processing to achieve excellent

responsiveness and very precise autofocus control.
The new MPU delivers the highest image stabilization in its class
The new Lens is equipped with Tamron's proven VC (Vibration Compensation) image stabilization. The Dual MPU combined with the latest stabilization algorithm ensures the highest stabilization in this lens class*1: 5 stops according to the CIPA standard. Even in low light or at slow shutter speeds, photographers can enjoy sharp shots with ease and comfort.

4. Weather-sealed design and fluorine coating
The body of the SP 24-70mm G2 is protected against the ingress of splashing water and dust with special seals at all critical points. The Lens can be used in all weather conditions as well as in humid and dirty environments without hesitation.
The front lens is coated with a water- and grease-repellent fluorine coating. This makes the outer surface particularly easy to clean and insensitive to fingerprints, moisture or damage from adhering dirt particles.

5. Manufactured to the highest Super Performance quality standards
The Tamron Super Performance series meets the high demands of demanding photographers. When the new SP design was introduced with the SP 35mm F/1.8 Di VC USD model, not only was the design enhanced, but stringent standards for design, manufacturing, and quality are also set.
For the SP 24-70mm G2 model, Tamron has developed a unique MTF (Modulation Transfer Function) tester to achieve consistent optical performance in manufacturing and meet the demand for higher image quality.
Tamron will continue to improve and develop the accuracy of the individual components of each lens element unit and the mechanical precision of the entire Lens.

6. electromagnetic iris
The Nikon mount model variant is now equipped with an electromagnetically controlled iris unit*2. This allows even more precise exposure, as the aperture blades open and close very precisely. On models with Canon mount, this function was already integrated as standard.

7. Compatible with Tamron TAP-in Console, optionally available
Tamron's TAP-in Console allows the zoom lens to be adapted to the individual needs of the photographer. A software application and USB connection to a computer can be used to update firmware and adjust autofocus and image stabilization.
