Image stabilization (VR) with 8.0 f-stops and focus-area stabilization
The impressive in-camera image stabilization2 with 8.0 f-stops allows you to take super-sharp freehand shots, even at night. If you use a NIKKOR-Z Lenses without integrated VR, the focus area VR3 stabilizes the area around the active focus area - regardless of where it is located in the image section. Nikon's proven ergonomics and customizability

Customization options carried over from the Nikon Z8 and Z9 include assigning custom buttons with different AF point presets: This allows you to quickly switch between AF modes whenever the situation calls for it. When shooting with the viewfinder, you can assign various functions to the high-resolution tilting and rotating touchscreen, including the focus point. While looking through the viewfinder, you can move the focus point quickly and easily with your finger.
If you want an audible confirmation while shooting, the Z6III comes to your aid with simulated shutter sounds. This lets you hear when shots are being taken, even if the mechanical shutter is not activated. Choose from five custom shutter sounds inspired by Nikon's SLR cameras and rangefinders.
There are separate user interfaces on the display for photo and video. In addition, the slim body of the Z6III has two card slots. This gives you various options for storing your photos. One slot supports high-performance CFexpress type B cards or XQD cards and one slot supports UHS-II SD cards.
