The Ninja 5-inch monitor recorders offer high-quality ProRes RAW recording and professional monitoring for every stage of production. Camera control
Intuitive on-screen sliders allow you to adjust white balance, aperture, shutter speed/angle and ISO. A red border indicator signals when the camera is recording internally, regardless of whether the recording was triggered by the camera itself or by Ninja RAW, TX GO or TX. Control is available for most Canon, Fujifilm, Nikon, Panasonic and Sony mirrorless cameras via USB-C and all Z CAM E2 series models (LANC cable required, sold separately).
Touch to focus
Tap the touchscreen of the Ninja RAW, TX GO or TX to automatically focus the camera on your desired subject. The touch focus function utilizes the camera's focus modes, such as focus tracking, for effortless control and sharp images. Only available with compatible cameras.
50% brighter 1500-nit screen
The Ninja RAW, TX GO and TX screen is 50% brighter than their predecessors and offers professional monitoring features such as EL Zone™ false color, focus peaking, waveform display, RGB parade, vectorscope and much more! All Ninja models feature the Atomos operating system combined with the 5-inch touchscreen interface, which gives you significantly more control over your footage and shows much more detail than your camera's built-in display.

Atomos has developed the concept of a monitor that simultaneously records to low-cost, high-capacity, removable storage media. Previous Ninja models used removable SSD hard drives*, but with Ninja RAW, TX GO and TX you can now choose to record to CFexpress* or an external SSD* with a fast USB-C connection. This means you now have even more recording media to choose from!

CFexpress
The next-generation Ninja series takes performance to the next level with support for fast CFexpress Type B cards (sold separately). This innovative media format enables faster read and write speeds, higher resolutions and more reliable shooting - ideal for demanding ProRes RAW workflows.
USB-C
Ninja RAW, TX GO and TX have three USB-C ports, one of which is used for power supply. The other two USB-C ports allow direct connection of external storage media or network adapters. This future-proof extension is designed to keep pace with the demands of content creation.
Tally
Adding a tally light to Ninja RAW, TX GO and TX is a simple but effective update that is particularly suitable for live productions. The tally light clearly indicates whether the camera is recording or transmitting. During recording, the light automatically lights up red (live/broadcast mode). If the tally light is green, this indicates to the presenter that the camera/monitor recorder is in preview or standby mode.
Unique cable locking system
Atomos has developed a unique and robust locking system that securely locks HDMI and USB-C cables in place. Ninja RAW, TX GO and TX come with special brackets and a USB-C locking cable. With Atomos locking cables, you get the most robust cable system on the market today.
Flexible power options
USB-C PD
Ninja RAW, TX GO and TX support USB-C Power Delivery (PD), allowing the device to be powered directly from a compatible USB-C source, including power banks and wall adapters.
NP-F battery
NP-F batteries are ideal for outdoor use - they power your monitor recorder even on long shoots without the need for frequent changes or complex power settings. (Sold separately)
Battery Eliminator
Compatible with all Atomos monitors that accept a Sony L-Series (NP-F) battery. Requires the Atomos power supply with latch, sold separately. (Sold separately)
Unsurpassed codec and frame rate flexibility
Resolution and frame rates
The Ninja series supports a wide range of resolutions and frame rates depending on the camera output: up to 120 frames per second (fps) in HD resolution, up to 60 fps in 4K UHD/DCI and up to 30 fps in 8K UHD/DCI. Recordings with higher frame rates are typically used for slow motion playback or fast action scenes.
Codec selection
All Ninja models come with pre-enabled formats such as ProRes RAW, ProRes RAW HQ, ProRes LT, 422 + 422 HQ and H.265 so you can start filming straight away. Ninja TX GO and Ninja TX also include Avid DNx and NDI 6/HX3, which are not available with Ninja RAW. NDI must be purchased separately online for Ninja and Ninja Ultra.
LOG formats
All Ninja monitor recorders support a variety of LOG profiles from the most popular camera manufacturers, including Sony, Canon, Panasonic, Nikon, Fujifilm, ARRI and RED. Working with LOG profiles enables a wider dynamic range and more flexibility for color correction in post-production.
Professional monitoring tools
The Ninja range offers a comprehensive suite of simple, one-touch monitoring tools for focus, framing and exposure. These include focus peaking, zoom (2:1, 1:1), zebra function, false color (including ARRI and EL Zone™), cropping guides, SMPTE safety zones, raster markers, waveforms, an RGB parade, a vectorscope and flexible 3D/1D LUT support with profile and preset options (including .cube file uploads). In addition, Ninja offers anamorphic distortion control to correct the image ratio of anamorphic lens setups.
EL Zone
All Ninja monitor recorders support EL Zone, a professional false color exposure tool that allows you to precisely determine the brightness of different image areas. Unlike traditional false color systems that use coarse IRE values, EL Zone assigns specific colors to exact exposure values based on f-stops, just as your camera measures exposure. This ensures precise and consistent exposure every time.
LUTs
A Ninja Monitor recorder receives LOG signals from the camera and provides a real-time LUT preview (look-up table) to provide an approximate representation of the final, color-corrected image in Rec.709 - all while recording in high-quality ProRes, DNxHR or ProRes RAW. Custom LUTs (.cube files) can be loaded from the CFexpress card or SSD and used in conjunction with the Ninja's built-in monitoring tools for precise exposure control.

Brightness
All Ninja models feature a 5-inch touchscreen display with 10-bit HDR/SDR color depth. Ninja and Ninja Ultra offer a brightness of 1000 nits, while Ninja RAW, TX GO and TX offer 1500 nits. All Ninja displays are easy to read even in direct sunlight; sunshades are available separately for extreme lighting conditions.
High dynamic range
You can view a dynamic range of over 10 f-stops from a LOG/PQ/HLG signal. Ninja's unique HDR monitoring capabilities simplify the complexities of filming in LOG and HDR by allowing you to simulate post-production workflows when it matters most - during shooting.
Calibrated
Calibration is the key to a reliable monitor. All Ninja monitors can be calibrated using the Calibrite Display Pro HL / Plus HL probe and the Atomos Calibrator app for consistently accurate HDR and Rec.709 monitoring. Accurate monitoring ensures reliable results.

Segment long recordings into smaller, user-defined sections - without frame loss. SegmentPro allows you to seamlessly integrate your files into any workflow. Smaller files can be shared more easily and securely: If a large file is lost, it's all gone. Working with smaller files minimizes this risk.
