Product description for Panasonic Lumix DC-GH7 Body

The Panasonic LUMIX GH7 is the ideal choice for professional hybrid videographers who demand the highest image and sound quality. With its new 25 megapixel BSI CMOS sensor in the attractive MFT format, it offers outstanding image quality and a dynamic range of 13+ f-stops, which guarantees razor-sharp, detailed images in any lighting situation for both photos and videos.

Thanks to the improved phase detection autofocus (PDAF) technology with high-precision subject detection and tracking, the GH7 delivers lightning-fast focusing, even with moving subjects. The camera is equipped with 5-axis dual image stabilization (IBIS), which ensures smooth and stable images even when shooting on the move - ideal for action-packed scenes or shooting on the move. The rear display offers a touch display with tilt and rotate function; if the display is used tilted with the rotate function, this also works very well with connected cables.

For video production at the highest level, the GH7 offers internal Apple ProRes RAW recording and the world's first 32-bit float audio recording2. This eliminates the hassle of adjusting audio recording levels during recording - a real workflow benefit. With 5.8K 30p ProRes 422 HQ, ProRes RAW HQ1, 4K 120p and Full HD at up to 300 fps, the LUMIX GH7 also offers maximum flexibility for any type of video project, from cinema productions to social media clips. In addition, the camera also offers the option of recording video externally to an SSD, which means that nothing stands in the way of long recordings. The Panasonic Lumix DC-GH7 has a built-in fan to protect against overheating.

Videographers who usually work with an Arri or the Arri Log will also find the Arri LogC3 optional upgrade (DMW-SFU3A) an exciting camera for production, which thanks to its attractive cost point can be used well for action-packed moments, but still offers the colors familiar from Arri.

In order to store large amounts of data, the camera also has internal CFexpress Type-B and a UHS-II SD card storage slot in addition to the external SSD connection option.

Another advantage of the GH7 is its optimized operation. With functions such as LUMIX REAL TIME LUT, proxy recording and Adobe Frame.io support, the path from recording to post-production is made more efficient. Open gate recording also allows flexible image composition for various social media platforms. If you want to use the Lumix DC-GH7 and many other Lumix cameras for mobile live streaming or effective live streaming directly from the camera, you can do this very effectively with the RTMP/RTMPS connection with the Lumix Sync app or via LAN via the built-in USB-C connection with a USB-C to LAN connection via RTP/RTSP.
